Why We Don't Handicap Every Race
It's not a gap in coverage. It's the whole point.
You simply cannot handicap every race and be profitable over the long run.
Every race you force a pick on without real edge is, on average, a losing proposition — stack enough of those onto your genuinely strong picks, and the whole record drifts back toward breakeven.
Open any race card and you'll see it: eight, nine, sometimes twelve races. Most handicapping services will hand you a selection for every single one of them — a "best bet," a "longshot special," something for every race on the card, every single day.
We don't do that. And we want to be upfront about why, before you ever consider joining.
A Pick for Every Race Isn't Expertise. It's a Symptom.
Some races genuinely don't have a clear edge. The field is competitive, the pace shape is murky, the class levels are close enough that a coin flip is a fair description of the outcome. That happens — regularly, on every circuit, at every level.
A service that hands you a confident pick on that race anyway isn't showing you expertise. It's showing you that giving you something mattered more than giving you something real. That's a business decision, not a handicapping one — and it's one we've deliberately chosen not to make.
What This Actually Costs You, the Other Way
If you're betting real money — not for entertainment, not for the action, but because you're actually trying to win — a manufactured pick on a race with no genuine edge isn't a bonus. It's noise. It's a bet that shouldn't exist, dressed up to look like one that should.
Over a full season, the difference between a service that passes when it should and one that never passes at all isn't a handful of missed longshots. It's the entire discipline the numbers on our Track Record page actually depend on.
